On My Return from…..well, from Somewhere

I have once again lapsed into a period of creative lull. Kind of. I am stewing some things around in my brain that are exciting and new, come aboard, we’re expecting you. I made a new Internet friend, the pride of any true geek, and will get to meet her in the flesh soon, as she will be transplanting herself to the Capitol City. So, in advance, mad welcome props to Tara.

Zuzia was here for a week and it was super cool. I am chomping at the bit to get up to Chicago for a game at Wrigley, it’s like 2 blocks from her apartment. How cool is that shit?

Work is rollin’ right along. As we speak, there are about 30 frat boys and their Dads in the club looking around and going, “Where are all the chicks?” and a lot of people walking down the street, looking in the window and thinking, “When did the Ivory Cat become a gay bar?” It ain’t, ladies, I promise.

The littlest Newsum is coming to visit.

We’re getting digital cable.

The madness seems to be drawing to a close, and yet I fear that it might never, ever end. There is, after all, a whole hell of a lot of Iraqi oil to “liberate”.

I am learning to type without looking at the keys. I am better at it that I thouhght. I have been looking at my hands for years, but I type with the correct fingers on the correct keys. It’s kind of like riding a bike without holding on to the handle bars. I can type without looking pretty well, and then I start thinking, ” Holy Shit, I am really doing it!” and then it gets worse and I start to make mistakes. I just have to learn to let go and let muscle memory take over. I think my muscles smoked a little too much whacky-tobacky in college. Just kidding Mom. This post has taken like thirty minutes to type. I amnot good with the letter “Y”. I keep missing it.

Ok, that’s all I can think of for now. See ya’ll later true believers.

Oh, yeah, I did not in anyway doctor the audio on that CNN link about the mine finding dolphins. It’s just the world telling everyone how awesome we are. Really.
